Version 4.10.0 is mostly about downloading offers. A download no longer fails because of a single video, you can see how far the preparation has come, and the list of your downloaded offers is tidier. On top of that, all videos move to a new storage location.
Downloads no longer fail completely
Until now, one video that could not be read was enough to break the whole ZIP file. Such a video is skipped now, and you get all the others.
- The download dialog labels the affected file as skipped and unavailable.
- The completion message tells you how many videos were skipped.
- Skipped offers stay in the "Verfügbar" tab and do not count as downloaded, so you can try again later.
- The download only fails when not a single video can be delivered.
A single video comes as a ZIP again
When you download a single offer, you get a ZIP file again instead of the bare video file. As before, it contains the info.csv with the details of the clip: file name, checksum, time range, note, camera position and submitter. That is what the ZIP file is for, and single downloads had been missing it.
Progress keeps moving
Large videos are now transferred in chunks, and the progress bar grows step by step. Before, it stayed at 0 per cent for minutes on a large video and then jumped to 100, which looked like a stuck download.

Once you close the download dialog, it stays closed. It used to come back after every page reload, even though the download had long finished.
A tidier "Heruntergeladen" tab
In the "Heruntergeladen" tab every offer is listed exactly once now, with the time of its most recent download. Until now an offer you downloaded several times also appeared several times. You can also sort by that time in both directions.
A new storage location for your videos
The videos move to storage in Germany. Nothing changes for you: you upload as before, and channels download as before. Because the data travels shorter distances, downloads should tend to get faster.
The privacy policy names the provider running that storage, together with the note that a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place. Once no videos are stored with the previous provider any more, those sections disappear from the privacy policy automatically.
Small blog improvements
When you switch the language on a category or topic page, you now land on the same category in the other language instead of the general overview. Search engines also find the articles more easily, because the pages properly link their German and English versions.

If you run a channel, take a look at your offers list next time you collect videos: progress keeps moving, and skipped videos are clearly marked. Everything else happens in the background.
